7SPIN: Why a Deposit Does Not Show Up, and How to Trace It

The money left your wallet and the casino balance did not move. That gap is almost never theft and almost always one of eight ordinary causes, most of which resolve themselves inside an hour. What matters is knowing which clock you are on, capturing the right evidence in the first two minutes, and escalating to the institution that actually holds the trace. Work through this page in order and do not send a second transfer while the first is unresolved.

First, tell the three failure modes apart

Everything downstream depends on which of these three things happened, and you can tell them apart from your own wallet ledger in under a minute. Open the sending app, not the casino cashier, and look at the transaction record.

  • Debited and in flight. Your wallet shows the transfer as successful with a reference number, and the balance dropped. The money exists somewhere on the rail or has landed but not been allocated to your player account. This is the most common case and it usually clears itself.
  • Debited and failed. The wallet shows the transfer but the rail rejected it, commonly for a limit breach or a closed destination account. The funds come back automatically, typically within 1 to 3 banking days. There is nothing to chase; there is something to wait for.
  • Never sent. The wallet shows no debit at all, or shows a cancelled or pending-authorisation entry. The balance is intact. Nothing is lost and nothing needs tracing; recheck your balance and start again.

If the balance in your sending wallet is unchanged, stop here. There is no missing deposit, only a transfer that never completed.

How long each rail should really take

Most support tickets about missing deposits are opened while the transfer is still inside its normal window. These are realistic thresholds for the Philippine rails.

RailNormal creditStill normal atTreat as a problem after

A PESONet transfer sent at 21:00 on a Saturday is not late on Sunday morning. It is not even late on Monday morning. That is the rail working exactly as designed, and no amount of chasing changes the batch schedule.

Capture these six things before you contact anyone

A trace is only as good as the reference you give it. Screenshot the sending app's transaction detail screen, not a chat message about it, and note the following. Every one of these is asked for, and a ticket missing the reference number cannot be actioned at all.

  • The reference or transaction number issued by the sending app. This is the single field that identifies the transfer on the rail.
  • The exact timestamp, to the minute, including the date. Batch and settlement questions turn on this.
  • The exact amount, including centavos. Many cashiers match an incoming transfer to a pending ticket on the amount, so ₱1,000.00 and ₱1,000.50 are different events.
  • The sender's registered name, which must match the name on your player account.
  • The destination account number, wallet number or player reference exactly as you entered it. Compare it character by character against the cashier's instruction.
  • Your player ID or username, plus a screenshot of the casino cashier ticket if one was generated.

The eight common causes, and what each looks like

CauseWhat you seeWhat resolves it
Missing or wrong reference in the transfer noteWallet shows success, casino shows nothingSend the reference number and timestamp to the cashier for manual allocation
Deposited to an expired cashier accountWallet shows success to an account you saved previouslyOnly ever send to the account the cashier generates for that session; raise a trace with the ticket screenshot
Amount does not match the cashier ticketFunds arrive but stay unallocatedGive support both the ticket amount and the sent amount so they can match manually
Sender name differs from the account holderDeposit held pending reviewFund only from an account in your own name; third-party funding is rejected under KYC rules
Below the platform's minimum depositSmall transfer sits unallocatedManual allocation by support, then deposit at or above the minimum next time
Over the ₱50,000 InstaPay ceilingTransfer rejected outright at the railAutomatic reversal within 1 to 3 banking days; split the amount or use PESONet
Wallet or bank limit reachedSending app blocks or reverses the transferCheck your daily send limit and the ₱100,000 fully verified wallet ceiling before retrying
Account not yet verifiedFirst deposit held until KYC clearsComplete the one-time identity check; reviews commonly take 24 to 48 hours

Six of those eight are matching problems rather than money problems. The funds are on the correct rail and in the correct destination; nobody has yet connected them to your player account. That is why the reference number and timestamp do almost all of the work.

Who actually owns the trace

This is where most players lose days. On an interbank transfer the sending institution owns the investigation, because it is the only party that can see the transfer on the rail and raise a formal trace with the receiving institution. A casino cashier cannot see a transfer that never reached it, and a receiving bank cannot search for money it never received.

  • Step 1: raise it with the app you sent from, your wallet or your bank, quoting the reference number. Ask explicitly for a trace on the transaction, not a general enquiry.
  • Step 2: in parallel, open a cashier ticket with the operator attaching the same screenshot. Allocation on their side is often faster than a rail trace.
  • Step 3: keep one thread per transfer. Opening three tickets for one deposit slows everything down and produces contradictory answers.
  • Step 4: if the sending institution does not resolve it, escalate through its formal complaints process. The Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act, RA 11765, obliges BSP-supervised institutions, which includes banks and e-money issuers, to run a complaints-handling mechanism, and the BSP Consumer Assistance Mechanism is the escalation route above it.
  • Step 5: do not send a replacement deposit while a trace is open. If the first transfer is later allocated you will have twice the money at risk in a negative-expectation game, which is the worst possible reason to double a stake.

Preventing the next one

  • Generate a fresh cashier ticket every time and never reuse a saved destination account.
  • Copy and paste the amount rather than typing it, so the centavos match.
  • Put your player ID in the transfer note or reference field whenever the sending app allows a note.
  • Fund only from an account in your own name; this also keeps the withdrawal path clean, because payouts go back to a same-name account.
  • Deposit above the platform minimum, and keep every deposit under ₱50,000 if you are on InstaPay.
  • Make your first deposit small and immediately test a withdrawal, so you discover any KYC or name-matching problem on a small sum rather than a large one.

One last thing worth saying plainly, because missing-deposit stress pushes people into bad decisions. A delayed deposit is not a signal about anything. The games run on certified random number generators, each spin or hand is independent of every other, and the built-in margin does not pause or soften while you wait. European roulette holds a 2.70% edge on the single-zero wheel, baccarat 1.06% on banker and 1.24% on player, blackjack about 0.5% against correct basic strategy, and typical JILI slots 3% to 5% against a 95% to 97% RTP. Those numbers are the same before and after a payment problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GCash was debited but the casino balance did not change. Is the money gone?

Almost certainly not. In the great majority of cases the funds have arrived and simply have not been matched to your player account, usually because the reference, the amount or the destination account did not line up. Send the reference number, exact timestamp and exact amount to the cashier, and raise a trace with GCash if it is not resolved within an hour.

How long should I wait before reporting a missing deposit?

30 minutes for a wallet-to-wallet transfer, 1 hour for InstaPay, one full banking day for PESONet sent before the cut-off and two banking days if it was sent on a weekend or holiday, and 2 hours for an over-the-counter cash-in. Reporting earlier than that usually just adds a ticket to a transfer that is still in its normal window.

Should I deposit again if the first one has not arrived?

No. A duplicate transfer is the most common way one payment problem becomes two, and it doubles the money you have exposed to a game that carries a house edge on every bet. Wait for the trace, and if you find yourself wanting to re-send in order to keep playing rather than to fix an error, that is a signal to stop for the day.

What happens to a transfer that breached the ₱50,000 InstaPay cap?

The rail rejects it and the sending institution reverses it automatically, typically within 1 to 3 banking days. There is nothing to chase. Resend as multiple transfers under ₱50,000, or use PESONet, which has no fixed rail cap but settles on banking days.

Can I get a deposit back if I sent it from someone else's account?

You should raise it immediately, but expect it to be held. PAGCOR-licensed operators are required to run identity checks and to keep funding and payouts in the account holder's own name, so third-party deposits are held or returned rather than credited. 7SPIN is a guide and not an operator or a payment provider, so we cannot move or release funds on any platform.

Who do I escalate to if my bank does not resolve the trace?

Use the bank's or e-wallet's own formal complaints channel first, quoting the reference number and the dates of every contact. RA 11765 requires BSP-supervised institutions to operate a consumer complaints mechanism, and unresolved cases can be escalated to the BSP's Consumer Assistance Mechanism.
